40012852The Access to HE Diploma (Engineering) provides students with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles, mathematics, and scientific concepts. This course prepares students for Higher Education and careers in various engineering fields, such as mechanical, electrical, aerospace, and automotive engineering. Students will acquire essential knowledge, specific skills, and transferable skills necessary for success in these areas.
To ensure this Diploma meets our AVA policies and priorities for new provisions, Skills and Education Group Access has worked with curriculum specialists and business development managers to coordinate and oversee the development of the Diploma, including meeting to agree on curriculum content, level, grading descriptors and general rules of combination.
Subject Areas
Students studying this Diploma will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and practical skills through a range of subject areas, including:
- Engineering: Engineering Design – CAD
- Engineering: Solid Mechanics
- Environmental Science: Energy Resources
- Mathematics: Exponentials, Logarithms, Trigonometry and Series
- Physics: Energy Transfer and Fluid Mechanics

You can choose to start delivery at traditional points in the year such as September or January, which may be suited to face-to face delivery, but with more interest in online delivery, it is possible to deliver all year round, with stepping on points to suit you and your students’.
