The Access to HE Diploma (Midwifery) provides students with a solid foundation in midwifery and healthcare. It prepares them for higher education and careers in midwifery, equipping them with the knowledge, specific skills, and transferable skills needed to support women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care. Through a variety of units and practical experiences, students will gain a deep understanding of human biology, healthcare practices, and the psychological aspects of midwifery.

Learners studying this Diploma will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and practical skills through a range of subject areas, including:

Anatomy and physiology related to pregnancy and childbirth
Maternal and neonatal care
Childbirth complications and emergencies

Successful completion of this Diploma will open doors to a number of university courses, giving learners the chance to study a broad array of degrees leading to careers in:
