Natalie, a former student at Skills and Education Group Access Centre Academy Online Learning, has progressed to the University of Nottingham after overcoming adversity to complete her Access to Higher Education Diploma.

Natalie studied her course whilst recovering from major hip operations. By studying at Academy Online Learning – a unique Access Centre that provides online Access to HE Diplomas – Natalie was able to study at home during the recovery process.

She studied the Access to HE Diploma in Health Science Professions and, after completing the Diploma with outstanding grades, has progressed to studying physiotherapy at the University of Nottingham.

The University of Nottingham is not only a top 30 UK university and a member of the Russell Group, but is also one of the top 10 UK universities for physiotherapy, according to the Complete University Guide.

Speaking about her achievement and experience of completing the Access course, Natalie said:

“I thoroughly enjoyed the course, which has broadened my depth of knowledge and given me the chance to apply for physiotherapy at university. The staff at AOLL are a great team and I wouldn’t be in my current position without all of their support.”

The team at Academy Online Learning added:

“It is always a bit different with our students, as we don’t see them face to face, but they can have all sorts going on in their personal lives. Despite it being an online course, we are always here as a team and take so much pride in student achievements.

“Natalie has overcome quite a few obstacles and has managed to achieve the Diploma with exceptional grades, providing inspiration for others.”
